Meet The Family

Although this Blog is going to be mostly for family and friends, I realize it may be read by others. So with that in mind, let me introduce you to the family.

I will begin with me. My name is Rene and I am in my early 40's. I am a SAHM to two little boys. I homeschool both of them. When I was very young I had two dreams; First to be a mommy and 2nd to be the toothfairy. Lucky me! I have achieved both!! Prior to having children I taught in the public school system. My husband and I have been happily married for just over 15 years. If I were to describe myself in just a few words I would say I was strong willed, opinionated, outgoing, talkative, and boisterous. I enjoy reading, baking, scrapbooking, and socializing. I love spending time with my family. If I could have any job in the world, I would be a motivational speaker. Not sure what I am going to motivate people to do yet, but I am working on it! ;)

For this Blog, I will forever refer to my hubby as "My Honey". My Honey is such a wonderful man! He is hardworking, honest, giving, and loving. He has a wonderful work ethic and is well respected in his field. He fits in easily with almost anyone he meets. All the women I know wish they had a Honey just like mine! I am forever in debt and appreciative of all that he does that allows me to be the mom I want to be. He is a great father and his boys adore him. If I had to describe My Honey in just a few words, I would say he is reserved, thoughtful, easy going, considerate, friendly, and grounded. He helps keep me grounded as well!!

I will refer to my first born son as"Little Man." Little Man is 8 years old. He is currently in the 2nd grade and doing very well. He is curious and easy going. He loves Lego's, Bionicles, Transformers, and weapons of any sort. Every stick he finds becomes a sword with which he can duel an imaginary foe. He has a great imagination and can entertain himself for hours. I never tire of listening to him make all the sound effects of his imaginative play. I am amazed at how quickly he is growing up and I look forward to seeing the person he will become.

I will refer to my youngest as "Muffin Man." Muffin Man is 5 years old and quite the character. He is currently in Kindergarten and doing very well. He LOVES to read and count and write. He would much rather do school type activities than play with all the regular toys that most little boys love. He is fascinated by rocks and crystals and seeds and plants. He loves pincher bugs and earthworms. He just has to touch EVERYTHING that he sees, no matter how disgusting! He has a quirky personality that endears him to most everyone. He is also stubborn and strong willed. He makes me laugh every day!

Along with the four of us human types, our family also includes two cats, Darth Vader and Princess Boo Boo, 6 fish, as yet unnamed, a tarantula named Rosie, 4 earthworms who live in a large tupperware bowl of dirt on my kitchen counter, and a tank of Sea Monkeys that keep reproducing! The boys are currently scheming to convince My Honey and I that we need a dog. We will see.

So, that is us in a nutshell. I will try to get some pictures up in the next day or two so you can put some faces to the names.
